Minster Hill: Bio

Howard Herrick - Minster Hill

Minster Hill was formed in 1999, out of the ashes of Howard Herrick’s former band, "tHE mEsOmEoNeS," which had a number of well-received songs on the Klaatu, Jellyfish and Left Banke tribute albums. After its formation in late 1999, Minster Hill immediately got a new song on the Jeff Buckley tribute album, and shortly thereafter released its debut cd entitled "Minster Hill."

The band’s first cd was well received, quickly selling 3,000 units without being backed by a tour. Thanks to cd sales at Not Lame (www.notlame.com), Jam Records (www.jamrecordings.com), Amazon.com and in stores throughout New Jersey, Minster Hill garnered a strong grass-roots following, backed by strong cd reviews of its first album, word of mouth and generous airplay on WDHA radio (105.5 FM).

Minster Hill is the brain-child and labor of love of one Howard Herrick, life-long music enthusiast, composer and musician, whose influences and formats range from pop and rock (including hard and progressive) to Americana and modern Indie.

In addition to putting the final touches on Minster Hill’s upcoming sophomore effort, to be unleashed in 2008, Howard Herrick is currently writing for major motion pictures, television, and some top recording performers.
